Drive on the opposite side behind the wheel

Generally circular shape of cars in much of the world is on the right side of the road. Here in Spain we explain why we do it right.

The side of the road where you are driving is not arbitrary, it is linked to the side of the car where the steering wheel is due to the visibility of the maneuvers.

Thus we can easily see traffic approaching us at an intersection. If we have the LHD, at an intersection we are seeing traffic approaching from the left.

On the contrary if we are sitting on the other side, a passenger could impede our vision.

Driving on the right is something prático for us, the majority of the skilled population, it is easier to make a gear change with the main hand. When we travel to a country where they circulate on the opposite side, we just pay more attention.

The truth is that both ways are circular establecidad by the conventions popularized by custom. Being left-handed or right-handed is not an impediment to getting used to perform tasks with either hand
